To deliver what is perhaps the biggest peacetime logistical event in Australia, the Australian Electoral Commission employs a Temporary Election Workforce (TEW) – around 100,000 people across the country who work in the lead up to, on and after federal election day.
Our task was to produce two videos for the TEW training program, as the AEC prepared for the 2022 federal election. The first was a welcome and overview from the AEC Commissioner Tom Rogers, which we filmed as a piece to camera in his Canberra office – combined with relevant overlay supplied by the AEC.
The second was a longer video for Subject Matter Experts – people who play a key role in training sessions for polling staff – drawing on their expert knowledge in election delivery, providing demonstrations and answering technical questions. In line with the AEC’s brief, we produced this longer video as a piece to camera with the National Election Manager, including extensive graphics relevant to the content.
