About the Role
We’re looking for a video editor / content creator to join our small team, working on a program of high-end, live streamed events and video projects.
The right candidate will be able to shape the role to maximise or develop their skills and interests, with opportunities to work in a live production environment, and/or get behind the camera for studio and offsite shoots.
It could suit either a recent graduate keen to learn on the job in a dynamic environment, or an experienced content creator looking for a varied role they can make their own.
While advertised as a 6-month contract, the role could be extended into a part-time or full-time position.
Reporting to the two SRH Directors, the core requirements of the role are to:
- Produce a series of video packages showcasing award entrants and winners
- Manage a large volume of client supplied data and digital assets
- Produce in-show titling and other video/graphic content as required
- Contribute to project management, effective workflows and good communication among the team
- Take ownership of content production from beginning to end, with a focus on accuracy/quality control
- Assist, where required, with other tasks related to SRH’s streams, events and/or film projects
Additional tasks, depending on the candidate may include:
- Filming – including lighting and/or sound recording
- Editing / rough cutting narrative film projects, audio clean up and colour grading
- Building graphics and animation
- Managing live crosses, as a key member of the live streaming crew.

Position requirements
- Video editing experience and/or appropriate tertiary qualifications
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing large volumes of digital assets
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to convey complex information clearly
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines amongst competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both autonomously and within a small team
- A proven ability to learn and confidently use new platforms / technology quickly
- Proficiency in camera operation / filming experience is a bonus but not essential, as is experience creating motion graphics and animation.
