QAIHC 25 years

The Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council commissioned us to produce a short film to celebrate 40 years of the community controlled health sector in Queensland and their work over the last 25 years as the sector’s peak body.

We interviewed some of the pioneers and activists who founded QAIHC; the Chairperson; and current and former CEOs, to describe the impact of self determination on health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

And we were privileged to be able to film at four of QAIHC’s 24 member organisations, to illustrate service delivery in action: Wuchopperen (Cairns); Yulu Burri-Ba (Stradbroke Island); Gurriny Yeelamucka (Yarrabah); and Apunipima (Mossman Gorge).
